Supporter Spotlight: Mark Harvey

Mark Harvey, Principal Broker, Hybrid Real Estate

My association with Eugene is a decade long and I cannot now imagine living anywhere else. My reasons are those that I hear so often from others who live here—the amazing sense of community, having nature (whether that be beach, mountain, or forest) seemingly on my doorstep, the walkability of the city, and the perfect pace of life. I grew up in Wiltshire in rural England, not far from Bath and Stonehenge, and spent many days as a teenager on construction sites with my father who was a contractor. I have had a fascination with homes ever since.
I will genuinely listen to you as you explain your real estate requirements and will work tirelessly on your behalf to find a home that you will love. I feel that my background in research and administration (in London) has given me an advantage that I attempt to put into practice in every transaction.

As someone who moved here from the United Kingdom, arriving with just five bags of possessions, I can directly relate to the needs of those who are relocating. I also have strong ties to the community through my involvement as a board member of ToolBox Project, a tool lending library, and Bridgeway House, an organization providing education and support to children with autism and related abilities, as well as their families.

There are many reasons that I chose Hybrid Real Estate as my working home, starting with the support, knowledge and experience of the principal brokers. I also love being downtown where I can meet up with friends and see many a familiar face as I walk around.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing soccer, getting outdoors to enjoy the amazing Pacific northwest scenery, and spending time with my friends. Another great passion is travel—I have been fortunate enough to travel extensively throughout Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, and have visited more than thirty states within the United States. More than anything, I love to get out and about, to enjoy all that Eugene has to offer, and share my enthusiasm for this city with everyone that I meet.
