Annual Fundraising Campaign
Help us reach our goal of $6,000
It has been an enriching year for the ToolBox Project. Our community, built around reuse, repair, and sustainability by sharing tools, resources, knowledge, and skills, has grown as we have continued to expand our tool-lending library and pop-up Fix-It Fairs. As a ToolBox Project supporter, you are that community and we want to thank you for growing with us this past year.
In 2023 more than 600 households
used our tools more than 4,600 times.
Together we shared lawn mowers, tile saws, and air compressors; tools used to maintain and improve our homes, yards, and businesses; and to complete projects from door trim and paver patios to bathroom remodels.
This year we expanded our services.
This year we expanded our services.
- We added member requested tools to our active inventory of more than 1,500 tools. These are tools that you all asked for and needed. Check out our growing inventory online, or stop by in person and say, “hi!”
- We increased our open hours each Saturday to better serve our members.
- We continued tool maintenance and upkeep, ensuring that the tools you access are useful and safe.
- We partnered with the City of Eugene and Lane County on four Fix-It Fairs in Springfield, Eugene, Cottage Grove, and Florence. Our Fix-It Fairs featured bike repair, textile mending, electronics and small appliance repair, and more repairs, while raising awareness of repair as an option and diverting waste from the landfill.
- Collaborated with the Friendly Area Neighbors Transportation Team to provide tools for a June Prune event, helping neighbors keep their sidewalks properly cleared of vegetation for people walking and rolling in their neighborhood.
As we look forward to what's next,
we ask you to join us once again
in supporting the ToolBox Project.
We will further grow our community resources by:
- adding a new shed to expand tool storage and capacity
- continuing our partnership with both the City of Eugene and Lane County to schedule Fix-It Fairs throughout the county
- continuing to provide people the tools they need for their projects, without having to buy, store, and maintain them at home or work
You are what keeps us going, even through the brain-melting heat and bone-chilling cold. You are the reason we even exist, so we can provide you access to helpful resources to build community and champion sustainable solutions. Your support is needed to continue to provide Lane County residents access to shared tools to maintain and improve their homes and neighborhood—empowering people, and building community.
Giving what you can to the ToolBox Project helps us give right back to our neighbors. Early donors have already contributed $1,750 toward this year's goal.
